I haven't been recapping Sleepy Hollow, mostly because I don't think I can manage that and Dracula at the same time. Would you find iPhone fic a suitable replacement?

(Spoilers through episode four. Text transcript over here.)

Also, in case you missed it, my extremely weird piece at The Toast went up yesterday.

I think I love you. That is all.

I love that Twinings is one of the few constants in his life.

(also, I really need to watch Sleepy Hollow, just need to find a way that doesn't involve buying Sky or BT)

It's actually what I drink, is the funny part. Lady Grey, mostly.

I am so glad I'm watching Sleepy Hollow just so I understand this to its full extent. It's such a silly show and I heart it.

AHAHAH This is hilarious! XDD

I read all that in their voices. It was magnificent.

Also, I have to wonder how much the writers like writing Crane. They get to use levels of vocabulary they are seldom allowed to reach for a main character.

Ichabod discovers caps lock. So beautiful.

I am pretty sure this show would drive me crazy, but I also want to be one of the cool kids. WAT DO.

I love this, though.

Well, it's the kind of show there they claim that George Washington was fighting the Revolutionary War to prevent the Apocalypse (I like to think of it as the Revelationary War) and the plot holes abound like Swiss cheese, but it's fun, so I roll with it. Now, the second and third episodes were kind of... not my favorite with some Indian "shaman"ing in the third particularly... but it's picked back up again with the fourth. So far, the emotional relationships (Abbie and her sister as well) are surprisingly well done, and I think they're what people are in it for at this point.

Also, for this.

She totes needs to take Crane to a Teavana.

The first time I went to a Teavana, I was followed around by a very insistent employee with a massive handlebar mustache who persisted in blatantly trying to sell me the most expensive tea in the store, not knowing that I had already been to the website and knew better. That was the last time I went to a Teavana.

>>>Would you find iPhone fic a suitable replacement?

Just "suitable"? It's *excellent*.

I, um.

I text like Ichabod Crane.

Loquaciously, and with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Or at least, such is my natural inclination. The requisite time and difficulty entailed in correcting errors discovered during proofreading may be one source of my antipathy towards the text message as a medium for interpersonal communication.

Don't feel bad--I text that way too. In fact, this whole thing looks a lot like my sister and I texting each other. That's where I got Abbie's text-spelling from, for sure.

(Also: The Altar Of Fire Gollums totally should be on The List of Names to Summon the Garage Band Deep Inside Your Soul.)

Oh my gosh, this is fabulous! Seconding the Twinings Lady Grey love. :)

Hee. That's perfect and in character. Though I suspect Ichabod's spelling might be a little offstandard.

Why does "My God, Twinings still exists?" crack me up the most?

You and me both.

But I loved the whole thing.

Love this. You are the best at exploring and having fun with unconventional genres. Enjoyed the Toast piece, too!

"My God, Twinings still exists?"

MOST ACCURATE THING EVER. Stupid Twinings, tricking me for years into believing I did not like tea when in fact I do like tea very much, thank you. Just not the shit kind.

To say: this cracked me up!

Well, here's my question: I mostly drink their Lady Grey, because I want all the citrus I can put into my face, and that's a proprietary thing with them, I think. I'm sure other brands do extra-citrus Earl Grey (or just any kind of black) tea, but the last time I went into a Teavana, all they wanted to do was sell me the most expensive, dissimilar tea in the store and I threw up my hands and went back to my Lady Grey. Do you have any recommendations?

I heart this very, very much. (Here via recessional on DW.)

Oh my god, that was BRILLIANT.

It's actually sickening, how quickly I became obsessed with Sleepy Hollow.

Awww! This is deeply, deeply cute! And I feel that "We just discussed this at great and badly-spelled length" could go on my gravestone.

Fabulous! :D

Ooooh, also, I want to see him be astonished at other companies that made it into the 21st century! *furiously thinks of list*
