Wow, the eyelid twitch is really starting to get in the way, y'all.

Damn, I had no idea it was getting on ten o'clock. I haven't even had dinner yet--but then, Sister Girl and I grabbed lunch at Panera Bread sometime around 2:30, so it's not surprising that I didn't get hungry. (Mmmm, alcoholic mustard...)

Funny story I have to tell you before I go forage: Someone left a comment for the other day to the effect that I should write a novel, and it should be a fantasy/romance with softcore sex scenes. I mean, not that I've ever really given any indication to y'all that I do or could write in that genre, but okay. So I was in class, and the professor came in, and we started off by just sort of chatting, as you do sometimes. And she just blurts out, "You know, ever since you mentioned your book"--look, she made us write down our career goals on index cards, okay? I put down "Actually finish my book before my agent kills me"--"I've been wondering if you write romance. You know, like softcore porn." Okay, I don't think that's exactly how she said it, but I can't remember. The word "softcore" was definitely uttered, though. The thing is, she'd found out that a former student was making pretty good money in the genre, and (I think this is how the story went) she was telling someone else this and couldn't remember who the student was--me, or the other girl (which it actually was). And I was like, "Uh, no... but it's really, really funny that you should mention that." So I told her about the comment in my journal. And it cracked. her. up. In fact, she looked me in the eye and said, "Lauren, I think it's settled. Your future is in a brown paper wrapper."

So I'll let y'all know how that goes, and stuff.

With all the linkspam I've been throwing at y'all lately, I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't fire up Short Attention Span Theater again. But there's a part of me that's just too lazy to run a journal and a blog. Sigh.

loversopolite has made us a "King Arthur in 15 Minutes" animation! (And by "us" I mean "me and all y'all." Not "the royal we." Ew.)

If you're interested in learning a little more about Sin City, I did find a fan site. Not only that, but Superhero Hype has given the movie its own section, and the poster gallery is pretty awesome. Check the comments of the previous entry, by the way--there are several links to downloads of the Comic Con footage (which is apparently what was capped).

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

I haven't forgotten the rest of y'all's rants, by the way. I just have a ton of work at the moment. Maybe I'll take a rant break tomorrow sometime...
