Quick note: la_sonnambula mentioned that Longford on HBO tonight is actually about Antonia Fraser's father. I'd seen the movie on the schedule and had no idea what it was about, so I looked it up after she said that, and guess what? It's about the gently eccentric Lord Longford (Jim Broadbent) trying to get parole for the "Moors murderess" (Samantha Morton), who committed her crimes (possibly) under the influence of her partner in crime (Andy Serkis). (I'm a true crime buff and I had still managed to never hear about this case, but then again, I'm American.) Apparently it was submitted to Sundance and will probably clean up a bunch of Emmys the way the Helen Mirren Elizabeth I just did. Look, a good review! Anyway, FYI so you can catch it tonight if you're interested.
