Quick Golden Globes spam:
Sting's beard makes Colin Farrell die a little inside.
A Golden Globes Blind Item: Who got a little too drinky and started badmouthing the competition? Between the "It should be talent, not politics" bit and Robert Downey Jr.'s bitchface when he lost to The Late Heath Ledger... I am a sad panda.

ABC hopes 'Slumdog' can revive 'Millionaire.'
Golden Globes Ceremony The Lowest-Rated Since 1996. This is the problem with award shows: you can't advertise the best parts in advance.
Disease research lab likely to be in Kansas. "Despite concerns that an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease on the U.S. mainland could devastate the nation's food supply, a Kansas town in the heart of cattle country may soon be home to a new lab where contagious animal diseases will be studied." You know, every time I read about this, I feel like I'm watching the first five minutes of a disaster movie.
From spooke: Fully functional, handmade leather BJD doll armor. I think the dolls in question are 30", so--far too big for the girls (11-12") or Elizabeth (16", although I would love to have some Chinese pirate armor for her).
(OH OH YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT FOR ELIZABETH? The Chinese "princess" outfit. I keep hoping Tonner will make it, but who knows?)
'Evolution of Dance 2': Still grooving? The song choices aren't as good as the first one, IMO. Maybe I'm just easy, but the Vanilla Ice bit in the original had me on the floor the first time I saw it. (I think I enjoy his complete commitment to the task at hand.) I also like how the MC Hammer segment was devoted to all the lamest dance moves of the '90s (yes, children, we actually had a move called "the lawnmower").

Must Watch: Badass Trailer for Neo-Noir Sci-Fi 'Franklyn'; Ryan Phillippe's 'Franklyn' Loves Masks, Hates Religion: "Ryan Phillippe and his cast-mates Eva Green, Bernard Hill and Art Malik are featured in two separate storylines in 'Franklyn.' One takes place in the present, and the other is a futuristic world oppressed by a government that forces everyone everyone to choose a religion (it doesn't matter what kind). Phillippe plays an atheist superhero/vigilante who shakes things up for that dystopian future. While the characters exist in both realities, it takes a murder to them all together."
